About diane

Diane Eagles — an educator, author, illustrator, and emotional clarity advocate. For more than two decades, I’ve worked at the intersection of science, story, and sensory‑rich learning, helping children and families understand their emotions in ways that feel safe, accessible, and deeply human. My work is rooted in the belief that every child deserves to feel grounded, connected, and capable — and that caregivers deserve tools that are practical, compassionate, and easy to use in real life. I design trauma‑informed resources, hands‑on kits, and brain‑wise frameworks that support emotional well‑being at home, in schools, and in community spaces. I’m the author and illustrator of Finding Balance: A Parent’s Guide to Support the Brain Health and Well‑Being of Children, and the creator of the Wild & Well Project — a movement dedicated to protecting the wild, nurturing the well, and empowering the roar in every child.Whether through books, workshops, or sensory‑rich tools, my mission is simple: to help families feel safe, seen, and supported— just enough, just in time, just for them.

Finding Balance is a brain‑wise guide for caregivers navigating real‑life emotions with clarity and compassion. Blending neuroscience, sensory tools, and lived experience, this book offers practical ways to support children through overwhelm, anxiety, big feelings, and everyday challenges.

Inside, you’ll find:

  • trauma‑informed strategies that work in real life

WILD & WELL

This is an illustration of the class that sparked it all, the children who inspired me to write the book and begin the Wild & Well journey. Their energy, their needs, their brilliance shaped everything that came next...

Inspired by real children, built for real families.

What does it mean to be Wild and Well?

It means honoring the untamed spirit of childhood while nurturing the emotional, physical, and spiritual roots that support its growth.

Wild is the freedom to be curious, to explore, to question, to dance barefoot in the dirt and speak truth with trembling courage.

It is the groundedness that comes from rhythm, nourishment, and love that sees the whole child.

Together, wild and well form a sacred balance in which curiosity meets calm, expression meets safety, and every child is empowered to grow into their fullest, freest self.

Wild & Well gives children simple, developmentally aligned tools to support regulation, confidence, and connection. Each element helps kids understand their bodies, settle their nervous systems, and move through their day with ease.

Inside Wild & Well, children learn:

  • Grounding practices that help them feel steady and safe

  • Calming strategies for easing big feelings

  • Reflection activities that build awareness and flexible thinking

  • Reframing tools that support more helpful self‑talk

  • Movement‑based supports that meet sensory and motor needs

  • Everyday routines that strengthen resilience and confidence

Book Review

It was an excellent book to teach my grandson how to stand strong in times of fear and adversity and how important God and family are in your life. Educational, inspirational and culturally sound. A great book for all ages.

Ms. Eagles is an exceptional educator who truly loves what she does, and it shows in every interaction. She is deeply knowledgeable about child development and consistently provided me with valuable insight on how to support my daughter’s learning at home.
What sets her apart is that she doesn’t just “teach”, she instills learning. She encourages curiosity, confidence, and growth in a way that feels natural and empowering for children. My daughter thrived under her guidance, and I am genuinely grateful for the foundation she helped build.
Teachers like Ms. Eagles are rare, and her passion for education makes a lasting impact on both students and parents.
